ABOUT PROJECT CLEAN

The largest, most comprehensive federal city homeless shelter in America* washes their floors by crushing up bar soap and mixing it with hot water.  Yet a bottle of Pine Sol costs $2.97; a tub of bleach, $1.50; etc. These are very basic and affordable items we purchase on a daily basis and for less money than we spend on a Starbucks coffee. Our goal is to change this. We've been informed by the shelter that the best way to help is to donate items such as Pine Sol, bleach, toilet paper, trash bags, hand sanitizer,  laundry detergent, etc. Everyone should have the right to sleep in a clean environment. Our goal is to provide enough cleaning supplies for the year 2012 by starting a grassroots giving movement in our community. Thanks to some willing volunteers we've organized drop off locations for cleaning supplies in Washington DC, West Falls Church, Arlington, and Alexandria. See our main page for more information. Will you help us?!
